Below are questions you must ask any SEO Company. There are so many poor SEO companies around today that just take your money and not rank your website anywhere near the first page of Google. This is because there are no guarantees with SEO because at the end of the day it is down to Google, so any company that says ‘we guarantee your website will be on the 1st page naturally’ hang up the phone!
We have made some must ask questions just to make sure you are using a ‘real’ search engine optimisation company.
- How long has your company been in the SEO industry?
You will need to find a company that has a minimum of 5 years experience. This is so they know all the algorithm changes that Google has made with ranking websites so they have adapted to it.
- Ask to see examples of websites they have ranked that are similar to your keywords.
If they have ranked websites that are similar to yours, maybe in a different area, this will be a good indication that they are able to rank your website. Also ask for a few examples for more competitive keywords for websites they have ranked. This will also show they are capable of ranking competitive keywords.
- Where do they build your links from and how many per month
If they even mention link or articles directories, blog comments or anything we have discussed in our blogs, hang up the phone!
- Do you offer a Pay on Results or a Money Back Guarantee?
Because with SEO no company in the world can guarantee first page rankings, so do not believe anyone that tells you that. At the end of the day it is Google and Google alone that decides to rank your website, not the Local SEO Company. What you should ask is if they rank your website before you start paying, or do they give you a money back guarantee if they do not rank your website within a certain time period (6 months is acceptable). There are plenty of companies that do this, but stay away from the companies that ask for a setup fee. Again, this is easy money for them. If an SEO company is unable to rank your website and you are paying them, why should they keep your money if they haven’t done their job? You wouldn’t keep paying a Plumber to service your boiler and he never did it would you!

Meta tags that are pertinent, are one of the best ways to ensure your site attracts the right visitors. Good meta tags will help search engines categorize your site properly. Tags that incorrectly label your site can cause visitors searching for your site’s niche to not find the site, reducing the number of hits.
I had this page bookmarked a while previously but my notebook crashed. I have since gotten a new one and it took me a while to come across this! I also in fact like the theme though.
